Hey guys, just wanted to stop in and say hi and tell you all how AMAZING the Games are so far. I have to admit, I am so star-struck. Seeing the likes of Rob O, Spealer, Mikko, Annie T., Kristan and the original Nasty Girl Annie Sakamoto... well, it's been amazing. Too many to list. Watching Kinnick bring that up from his knees with the crowd going absolutely crazy was touching. It's what this sport is all about. There were several athletes who stepped up to that final bar of the C&J more than once. It's no doubt the CrossFit community cheering them on had something to do with their success. I hope you'll all watch some of the archives on the Games site. Some really great performances on day 1 and more to come. See you all next week.
Those 225 lb clean and jerk at the end of a workout were impressive, but I have to ask, is the kneeling squat clean going to be the next reason olympic weightlifters pan crossfit?
I would also love to see the ave. of the top 5 and bottom 5 (~10%) in each of their respective arias - As in what is the Ave. Lbs. of the top 5 squatters? Bottom 5 squatters, FGB? Fran? etc.
The bottom data could be a great (if I want to get to the games I should strive to attain at least XYZ..) or My XYZ is in a top tier of performance, therefor, Maybe I should focus more on bringing up my ABCs ..

We'll start practicing that kneeling squat clean.
It's on my to-do list ...
Oh and I like how Rob O. finished.
Just rep it out. Why not?
No joke that was silly.
Anyone know what happened to Mikko?? I missed most of todays WOD's...
Mikko S. is out due to a blown ear drum during the swim (rumor has it).
Possibly kicked due to crowding (again, rumor and speculation)
What a final heat! So tough for Rob O earlier and now I feel terrible for Mikko. Maybe a rope climb and CJ in our future?

Also,
Gym-goers.
You may recall a sheet of paper in the back of the gym with the 2010 CF Games athlete averages.
We made a -10%, -20%, -30% as well as a +10% of the data.
Athlete averages have improved by 5-10% over last years athletes.
