The key to setting good New Years goals is specificity (Otherwise it's unattainable and thus useless)!
I 'm going for a 300 lb deadlift by 04/07/09 (aka, 300 lbs by age 30).

To run a 100km (62 mile) race. There's one on the summer solstice (June 21) to run 100km of the mason-dixon line from sunrise to sunset.
I want a 1200lbs powerlifting total
sub 4 min fran...and make it through the sectionals and onto the regionals for the games
probably not a good start by missing today, oh well!
I'm going for 100% of my L3's and 50% of the L4 skills.
... and eat more pancakes than Jason.

20% across the board gains in lifts and reduction of times. Sub 5 Fran sounds like a good goal.
