Three homemade Mexican chorizo sausage patties and 3 fried eggs with a large glass of milk. That has been my breakfast for the past few days. Lunch today is broccoli salad and ham. Dinner will be Kisling's hot wings and beer. Desert will be coffee ice cream before bed. THIS is how to eat!
I eat a lot of nuts, eggs, cheese and fruit. Some measured and some not. Increasing my veggie and fish intake would probably be a really good idea....and would make me happy!
My breakfast is oatmeal with milk, protein powder and raisins along with half a grapefruit and cottage cheese. The raisins make it too high carb to be considered properly zone.
Lunch is typically a sandwich with cold cuts and avocado. Still high carb with the bread though.
Dinner is better, typically fish, chicken or pork, with lots of vegetables. I like to stock up on the frozen fish at Trader Joe's.
I really like www.nutritiondata.com for figuring out what nutrients recipes contain. You can create and save your own recipes.
I did today's workout on my own in 11:30 with 45#.
I don't eat the same thing every day, but try to eat protein (i.e. egg beaters or a shake), carb (i.e. oatmeal and fruit) for bkfast, same for lunch (veggie burger or chix and salad), and protein, carbs, and salad/ other veggies for dinner....or all veggie stuff....and some type of snack - can't resist either ice cream, yogurt and graham crackers,or zone bar :)
I don't like or eat red meat or fish so it makes it difficult to stick to a paleo diet.
I track calories on www.fitday.com.
I also try to only eat pasta from here: http://www.fibergourmet.com
They've got some good stuff if you're not super strict on carbs!:)
