5 Rounds for time:

50' Overhead Walking Lunges (45/ 25#)
15 Handstand Push-Ups

(Post time to comments)

Nelson's Fat Ass 50K is this Saturday!

It is always an awesome time. Last year we had 5 of our folks to run a 1/2 or a 1/4 Nelson's.

Two Diesel'ers finished in the top 10 for the 25K - This year, I bet we can beat that!

Wow! Thank you to everyone at Crossfit Diesel for the christmas gifts. We really appreciate it. You guys totally rock, so Thank You!

Another thanks for Susan, Mike and Jason for hosting such a fantastic Holiday Party this year. It was a blast. That was the best party I have been to in....well I don't know when. It was great and will be tough to top next year :) :) :)

And finally, We want to thank our Fantastic coaches. You guys inspire us daily and did a great job of keep the Diesel ship sailing smooth!

Just want to throw it out there for anyone thinking of doing the Nelson' Fat Ass to DO IT! I did the 1/2 last year and it was tough but truly, well, awesome! You'll never forget it if you do it, and you surely will not regret it. The feast and jacuzzi at the end are TOPS... sooooo worth it. The pace is NOT FAST, and there is quite a bit of walking involved (any up-hills are generally walked, for safety and for best use of energy), but whatever you do, make sure you get in that jacuzzi if you go. (And one other thing, bring electrolyte packs for your water or electrolyte tablets.) I'll be in NJ, but I'll be thinking of you... :)

I'd be interested in doing the 25k. How does one go about registering for the race? Thanks.

If you can sign up for a 1/10, I might do it. That is about the extent of my running. ;)

No need to register for the 50K, just show up at the Lake Elkhorn docks at 8am. It is a very small and super fun event.

We'll try to have a car parked at the 1/2 way point of the 25K for folks that want to run a Quarter-Nelson.

12.5 K will take about 1-2 hours, give or take.

This Car will shuttle folks from Volmerhausen Rd. back to the starting line for early after Race Treats and post race Hospitality (which is warm and wonderful).
