Mandi, the local place to get natural bison meat is Gunpowder Bison & Trading Company - www.gunpowderbison.com. You can order online or visit the farm in Monkton, MD - about an hour north of Columbia....locally raised, natural, dry aged meat in many forms!
MOM's Organic Market carries Gunpowder meats. You can also find them in various local food co-ops and at a few different farmer's markets. I actually just made some bison meatballs using Gunpowder meat after tonight's WOD. Good stuff!
I guess I cannot remove the last post, but it is not where I am going Turkey morning, I messed up. I am actually going to this one, whoops!:

It is a 5 mile run (with a 3 mile walk) and you can register there on site pre-race (9am) and donation is per check or money-order your own set amount (which means you can give $10 or $20). 100% of donations goes to colitis research.
It's in Owings Mills, about 25 minutes from Columbia. I can drive anyone who would like to go. There is free breakfast after the run, and 'celebrity appearances...'

Kitty is going on 7 months old (he was born about 3 weeks before Cain and I joined CFD). He is too cool for school. He actually begins meowing outside our bedroom door very very loudly every morning at dawn. Lindsay CF Kitty is the best! Thank you for him!!
LOL. Kitty just wants to ATTACK our ankles. He is bored and knows there are 2 humans behind the door. He does not know a thing about half-n-half yet, but I'm sure he would love to try some.

I know everyone probably already has a WOD or no-WOD plan for Turkey Day, but wanted to pass this along to anyone on the fence (like I was!)

It's a 7K at 8:30am downtown Baltimore through Fell's. Should be fun, and only 20 bucks. Registration closes at midnight tonight.
